Volkswagen Caddy in Poole Dorset, Portsmouth & Southampton Hampshire
Flexible as always and smarter than ever, the new VW Caddy makes family adventures that little bit easier. Two sliding side doors and foldable, removable rear seats give the Caddy awesome modularity, with the Maxi version boasting seven seats. Class-leading features like the Digital Cockpit (optional) and the 8.25” touchscreen (Life) give the Caddy a high-tech vibe, and you can specify a 2.0 TDI 102PS, 2.0 TDI 122PS or 1.5 TSI 114PS engine, with the option of a DSG transmission with 2.0 TDI 122PS and 1.5 TSI 114PS engines. Trims include Caddy and Life. Caddy models have cruise control, Lane Assist, Front Assist with Pedestrian Monitoring and City Emergency Braking System, air conditioning, a heat-insulated windscreen and a 6.5” touchscreen. Life adds 16” alloy wheels, black roof rails, under seat drawers for the front seats, front and rear parking sensors, and an upgraded 8.25” touchscreen with We Connect Plus, featuring remote lock and unlock.
Design
The Caddy impresses with black roof bars (Life), LED daytime running lights and twin sliding side doors. Inside, the spacious cabin has a plush cockpit, with an 8.25” touchscreen in Life models. Optionally, you can add the Digital Cockpit.
Drive
With cruise control and Lane Assist, the Caddy makes driving easy. You can add Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and a rear-view camera optionally. Engines include a 2.0 TDI 102PS, 2.0 TDI 122PS and 1.5 TSI 114PS, all with start & stop technology.
Practicality
The Caddy is built for families, with a spacious cabin with five seats, sliding side doors and an enormous 1,213-litre boot behind the five seats. Need more space? The Maxi has seven seats and an impressive 446-litre boot with all seven seats in place.
Living with it
All versions are cheap to run, with the 2.0TDI 102PS returning up to 58.9mpg combined. The optional DSG transmission makes the drive super-smooth, and optionally you can add a huge 10” touchscreen, LED headlights and ergoComfort seats.
