Group Operations Director awarded Gold Pin for services to Volkswagen
Michael Gunner, Group Operations Director at Breeze Motor Group, has been awarded the prestigious Gold Pin at the annual Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Performance Awards.
Awarded by Volkswagen AG, the coveted Gold Pin was first presented in 1967, to recognise the exceptional contribution that individuals make across the entire business.
This year’s presentation ceremony was held in Athens, hosted by Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles’ Brand Director Cian O’Brien, and Rob Holdcroft, Head of Network Sales, with Michael one of only three UK VWCV representatives to receive the accolade.
On receiving his pin, Michael said: “Having seen the calibre of people who have been awarded the pin over the years, it’s a real honour to receive one myself. I can’t do what I do without an amazing team, so it’s as much recognition for the team at Breeze as it is for me.”
Michael joined Breeze in 2019 as Commercial Vehicle Brand Director, following 15 years with a different manufacturer in the Commercial Vehicle industry. Michael was promoted to Group Operations Director in 2021 and, under his leadership, the Breeze Van Centre sites have achieved multiple CV Performance Awards.

Breeze Van Centre Portsmouth was also shortlisted in the 2024 VWCV Performance Awards for the Top Performing Van Centre Award and the Aftersales award.
