ID.3 triumphs yet again at What Car? Awards!
Both the ID.3 and Passat GTE Estate have received awards at the What Car? Electric Car Awards
The ID.3 Life Pro Performance was named 'Best Electric Family Car' for its battery, handling and equipment! The Passat GTE scooped 'Best Used Plug-in Hybrid Estate' title.
Yet another presitigous accolade for the Volkswagen ID.3, alongside the Passat GTE Estate. Steve Huntingford, Editor of What Car? said: "The promise of a car that's every bit as practical as the big-selling and iconic Volkswagen Golf. Thankfully, the ID.3 lives up to its promise, and then some."
The ID.3 Life Pro Performance is available from £29,740 OTR with a 58 kWh (net capacity) battery that provides a WLTP-certified combined range of up to 264 miles from a single charge. The model can reach 80% capacity in as little as just 35 minutes! The Pro Performance powertrainp provides 204ps and 310Nm of torque which is another attribute praised by WhatCar? judges on the panel.
At the same awards ceremony, the Passat GTE Estate took the 'Best Used Plug-in Hybrid Estate' trophy, being commended for its practicality, as well as performance and reduced running costs of the 218ps variant. "The GTE handles tidily, rides smoothly and makes very little noise in whichever of its various driving modes you're in. The interior is beautifully designed and assembled, and the driver is treated to electric backrest and lumbar support adjustment, aiding comfort on long trips." said Huntingford.
