Golf 8 GTI
At a starting price of £33,460 for the 6-speed manual-equipped variant, the new model reaches 62mph in 6.2 seconds in the DSG-equipped form! The Golf GTI has a 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine with 245ps and 370Nm, kitted up with an illuminated grille strip, LED fog lights, IQ. Light LED matrix headlights, 18" 'Richmond' alloy wheels and more!
At the rear, a pair of chrome-plated tailpipes sit beneath a uniquely styled GTI bumper, and a roof spoiler marks out the back along with smoked LED tail lights with dynamic turn signals. The Volkswagen Golf 8 GTI's sports seats remain with the distinctive Jacara check cloth, with a leather-wrapped heated steering wheel with paddle shifters for the DSG variant.
Golf 8 GTE
The plug-in hybrid GTE model also has the 245ps power output, combining a 1.4L petrol engine (150ps) with a 13kWh battery pack (110ps) capable of powering the car on electric power alone for up to 32 miles.
The Golf GTE can reach 0-60mph in just 6.7 seconds, at a starting price of £35,960. Compared to the previous Golf 7.5 Facelift GTE, this battery pack is 50% larger and features a 6-speed DSG gearbox developed specifically for use in plug-in hybrid vehicles.
The Volkswagen GTE is marked out by a blue theme across the interior and exterior, with a blue GTE badge in the grille, a blue strip above the light bar, and Jacara checks cloth sports seats. Similar to the Golf 8 GTI, the GTE features the honeycomb-design fog lights in the front bumper and IQ. Light LED matrix headlights.
