Golf 8 GTD now open for order
The torque of the town is here... the Golf 8 GTD is now open for order!
More powerful than ever... 200ps Golf GTD going from 0-62mph in only 7.1 seconds.
The latest addition to the Golf 8 Performance range has arrived, boasting a maximum torque of 400Nm and with 200ps in comparison to only 184ps in the previous 7.5 model.
The GTD spec maintains the high level of equipment offered across the Golf range, with a dynamic styling pack including an illuminated front grille, uniquely styled bumpers and honeycomb-design front LED fog lights. This specification also benefits from IQ. Light LED matrix headlights with Dynamic Light Assist, with 18-inch 'Bakersfield' alloy wheels.
The MK8 GTD has keyless entry, 3Zone climate control, electrically heated & foldable door mirrors, and integrated puddle lights. The spec keeps the front sports seats finished in grey Jacara cloth, with a leather-wrapped multi-function sports steering wheel and paddle shifters for the DSG transmission.
"The Golf GTD is the third member of the Golf GT trio, each one featuring a different set of characteristics. The iconic, enthusiast-focused Golf GTI and the ultra-low emissions Golf GTD plug-in hybrid are now joined by the high-torque, high-performance GTD," says Dale Piper, Golf Product Manager at Volkswagen UK.
