Plug-in hybrid Arteon now open for order

New plug-in hybrid drivetrain now available to order for 2020 Arteon

We are beyond excited to finally see this latest hybrid addition for the new Arteon, arriving at dealerships in no time.

For the first time ever, the Volkswagen Arteon is now offering a plug-in hybrid comprising of a 1.4-litre TSI petrol engine and an electric motor. Together they provide a peak power output of 218ps and torque of 400 Nm, with prices starting at around £39,905 OTR RRP for the Elegance trim.

The entire Arteon range now in total offers 20 configurations across the fastback and Shooting Brake models with the hybrid available across both body styles. The Elegance and R-Line trims remain available for the hybrid drivetrain with the Arteon R arriving very soon at 320ps and 4MOTION.

Elegance trim

This trim features 18-inch 'Almere' alloy wheels, keyless entry across both body shapes, and a rear-view camera with Travel Assist. Travel Assist is Volkswagen's adaptive cruise control with a lane-keeping system as a package.

R-Line trim
This top-spec trim comes with 19-inch 'Montevideo' alloy wheels as standard, with new dual trapezoidal exhaust tips on each side of the rear bumper giving it a further sporty appearance. A sunroof is a standard feature for the R-Line specification, whereas the Shooting Brake body style has a larger standard-fit panoramic sunroof. Both receive a rear tinted glass and interior ambient lighting with 30 colour options as standard.
The new Arteon hybrid model can be charged in just five hours, using a standard domestic 3-pin plug. This charging time can be reduced to 3 hours 33 mins if using a 3.6kW AC charger! Energy can also be recovered whilst driving via the infotainment system, allowing battery power to be conserved if needed.
"We are really excited to be adding an electrified model to the Arteon range, and these hybrid models are ready to impress with their own distinctive styling and high levels of efficiency. With an electric-only range of up to 39 miles we expect many customers will be able to achieve zero-emissions driving for most day-to-day trips," says Lisa Hartley, Arteon Product Manager at Volkswagen UK.

The Volkswagen Arteon hybrid models will be arriving at Breeze Volkswagen across 2021. Follow us on social media to keep up with the latest news:

Breeze Motor Company Ltd, Breeze (Southampton) Ltd and Breeze Motorcycles Limited are Appointed Representatives of Automotive Compliance Ltd, who is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA No 571076). Automotive Compliance Ltd’s permissions as a Principal Firm allows Breeze Motor Company Ltd, Breeze (Southampton) Ltd and Breeze Motorcycles Limited to act as a credit broker, not as a lender, for the introduction to a limited number of finance providers and to act as an agent on behalf of the insurer for insurance distribution activities only.

We can introduce you to a selected panel of lenders, which includes manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent. An introduction to a lender does not amount to independent financial advice and we act as their agent for this introduction. Our approach is to introduce you first to the manufacturer lender linked directly to the particular franchise you are purchasing your vehicle from, who are usually able to offer the best available package for you, taking into account both interest rates and other contributions. If they are unable to make you an offer of finance, we then seek to introduce you to whichever of the other lenders on our panel is able to make the next best offer of finance for you. Our aim is to secure the best deal you are eligible for from our panel of lenders. Lenders may pay a fixed commission to us for introducing you to them, calculated by reference to the vehicle model or amount you borrow. Different lenders may pay different commissions for such introductions, and manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent may also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing. But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement, all of which are set by the lender concerned. If you ask us what the amount of commission is, we will tell you in good time.
