The new Golf GTI Clubsport with an output of 300ps is now the most powerful model in the latest generation of the GTI
Following on from the GTI, GTE, and GTD, Volkswagen has now presented the next highlight from the sporty family of Volkswagen Golf models... the new Golf GTI Clubsport. The first-ever compact sports car that is the GTI Clubsport was launched in 2016 and continues to impress with its high engine power and fantastic driving dynamics.
Outstanding driving dynamics
Many of the details of this model have been enhanced, including the turbocharged engine which now delivers 300ps and 400 Nm of torque, and is now equipped with a new Vehicle Dynamics Manager.
The Vehicle Dynamics Manager is already closely integrated with the electronic differential locks and the lateral dynamic components of the optional Adaptive Chassis Control. The feature offers noticeable performance benefits.
A genuine Clubsport
The front end of the Golf 8 GTI Clubsport is customised to be extremely striking. The bumper looks almost open at the bottom, and at the rear, a two-part roof spoiler catches the eye of most and has been reserved exclusively for the Golf GTI Clubsport. The front spoiler and rear wing are more than design features and do indeed significantly increase the downforce on the sports car. With 18-inch alloy wheels, lowered by 10mm, a special GTI Clubsport diffuser and oval tailpipes on both the left and right sides of the body.
The vehicle interior is also customised in the style of the countless GTI-specific features, including ArtVelours premium sports seats, a sports steering wheel with perforated leather grip zones, and paddles for the 7-speed dual-clutch DSG gearbox.
